Registering with your Ventures ID

The Ventures ID is a code unique to you that all Ventures entrepreneurs will need to sign up for Ventures courses starting on September 3, 2019.

All Ventures entrepreneurs have been emailed their ID. If you didn’t get an email or need help requesting your ID, go to the Troubleshooting section below.

For entrepreneurs starting the Business Basics Course, your Ventures ID will be on your workbook, name tag, and in your acceptance email when starting the Ventures program. For entrepreneurs who graduated from the Business Basics Course before September 2019, your ID has been emailed to you. If you didn’t get an email or need help requesting your ID, go to the Troubleshooting section below.

Starting on September 3, 2019, you will need your Ventures ID to sign up for any Ventures course. You will need to enter your Ventures ID into the Ventures ID form field on the registration form in order to enroll in a course.

After September 3, you will not be able to register online for Ventures courses without your Ventures ID. If you are having trouble with your ID, see the Troubleshooting section. As we continue to grow and expand, we realized that we needed to create an easier, quicker registration process for our busy entrepreneurs. Now, you may also register through Ventures’ social media platforms, and our interactive calendar, not just through the “Client Portal” on the website.

You can still use the Client Login to sign up for Ventures courses, however, you will no longer need the general password to access the page. Instead, you will need your Ventures ID to sign up for each course. Soon, Ventures will start using an interactive course calendar that makes it easier for you to sign up for courses on the website. Stay tuned for more details later in 2019!

No, Ventures IDs are only required for graduates of the initial 8-week Business Basics Course to sign up for additional courses. If you are new to Ventures and haven’t taken the 8-week course, you do not need a Ventures ID to sign up for the Orientation. Sign up for the next Info Session here.

If you are still having trouble registering with your ventures ID you might need to create one. Your Ventures ID is linked to the information you provided when you graduated from the Business Basics Course. Perhaps your information has changed since then? You can update your information and create a temporary Ventures ID here.

All newly created Ventures ID must be reviewed before they can be activated for use which may take up to two business days. This helps us ensure that the Ventures IDs meet our community and security standards. Thank you for understanding!

If you can’t register online before the course, please email Amy Hollander, Training & Coaching Program Manager, at ahollander@venturesnonprofit.org, to let her know you plan on enrolling. We want you to take the course and will help you resolve your ID problem once you’re in class.

Your Ventures ID (VID) needs to match the information we have on file. We recommend that you:

• Check to make sure your Ventures ID is entered with no spaces
• Check to make sure your Ventures ID is in all lowercase letters

If that doesn’t work then it’s likely that the information you have entered doesn’t match the information we have on file.

We use a few factors to generate your VID. If any of those are incorrect, you might have difficulty using your VID when registering for courses. If you think you might need to update your information, please fill out this form.
