Using family recipes passed down from three generations of home chefs, Lee launched Angel City Deli in 2011 to share delicious Southern-style comfort food and BBQ with the Seattle community. It is now a brick-and-mortar shop, serving dishes like catfish, BBQ sandwiches, brisket, pork chops, mac and cheese, potato salad, desserts like sweet potato pie and peach cobbler, plus more! Angel City Deli also specializes in catering, including corporate events. Enjoy their soul food at their restaurant in Renton, order online through their site, or book them for your next event!

Chu Minh Tofu and Vegan Deli

Thanh-Nga Nguyen | Est. 2011 | Vietnamese, Vegan

Chu Minh Tofu and Vegan Deli is an authentic Vietnamese vegan restaurant. Everything is made from scratch, and the tofu made daily. Thanh-Nga opened her business in 2011 from her love of animals, the vegan movement, and the desire to introduce Vietnamese vegan food to the public. Chu Mihn offers a vegan buffet, sandwiches, coffee, pho, fresh rolls, and catering services.

Healthy Creations provides private chef services, meal planning service, baked goods and pastries, culinary anthropology cooking classes and team-building classes. Healthy Creations works with local farmers and purveyors of color. Ariel’s business is a Chef company making everything from scratch and made to order for each client. They focus on those changing their eating patterns by creatively focusing on cultural food, plant-based menus, and bringing awareness to eating healthier.

La Malquerida

Last year, we celebrated the 10 Year Anniversary of our Latino program. We organized a community event that featured eight Latino businesses. One of the businesses that catered that evening was La Malquerida, owned by Rafael Alarcon Bello. La Malquerida is a family-owned gourmet Mexican food catering company with a passion for cooking. All of their food is home-made and always strive for the highest customer satisfaction through their business. They have recipes that have been handed down to them to make the most authentic Mexican cuisine. Rafael’s goal is to bring a little bit of Mexico to your dinner table.

Lily’s Salvadorean Catering

Lilian Anaya | Est. 2009 | Salvadorean

Lilian’s Salvadorean Catering offers authentic Salvadorean food. Being Salvadorean herself, Lilian uses traditional recipes to offer the highest flavor quality to her clients. Lilian opened her business in 2009 after realizing she needed a flexible job that could help her spend time with her daughter.

Los Agaves

Jaime Mendez | Est. 2007 | Mexican, Mediterranean

Los Agaves was founded by Jaime Mendez and his wife and family, and offers authentic Mexican cuisine and world-class Mexican and Mediterranean catering. Jaime moved to Seattle from Mexico City 18 years ago, and cooking is a big part of his family tradition.

Choose Los Agaves to experience flavors that combine old family recipes with Pacific Northwest ingredients for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Specialties include all the classics of Mexican street food, including “al pastor” tacos, hand-made tamales, huaraches, tortas, and ceviche. Wash it down with a glass of horchata!

Ofelia Anorve started her business in 2018, a result of her passion for cooking and desire to offer authentic Mexican food in the Seattle area. Ofelia’s food is fresh, delicious, and made with authentic Mexican ingredients. Mamá Tila takes pride in only delivering fresh food, never frozen or refrigerated. Ofelia also takes same-day orders!

Miri’s Catering

Miri Plowman | Est. 2015 | New American, Middle Eastern

Miri’s at Golden Gardens and Miri’s Catering is a small family owned business based out of the south end of the Golden Gardens Bathhouse. Miri’s specializes in locally sourcing ingredients, developing client focused menus, and making really delicious food.

They specialize in Middle Eastern, Mezze style spreads made with in-season ingredients. They also make mini Dutch Pancakes which are an excellent addition to any party or gathering. Miri’s is a boutique catering operation, where no two events are served the same menu or provided with a generic quote. Rather each catering menu is written based on the specific asks of the client.

Pacific Moon Catering

Cynthia Yongvang & Richard Gushikuma | Est. 2016 | Asian Fusion

Pacific Moon Catering is a family-owned business that brings more than 25 years of foodservice and restaurant management experience to the table. The husband and wife team, Richard and Cynthia combine flavors from their upbringing to create a unique food experience. It’s a little bit of Lao with a touch of Japanese, a hint of Hawaiian with a dash of Korean.

Pacific Moon Catering offers flexibility with multiple catering options including drop-off and full-service catering that includes chefs and wait staff. They will work with your budget to ensure a great experience with their menus and services.

Fun fact: Cynthia also designs Hmong inspired textiles and owns a home decor and accessory business.

Thyme Well Spent

Chantel Jackson | Est. 2016 | New American

Thyme Well Spent is owned and operated by Chef Chantel Jackson, a Tacoma Hilltop native who has dreams of being the “world’s lunch lady.” Chantel’s business was born out of her desire to feed people and to be her own boss.

Thyme Well spent is more than a catering and food business. It is an experience. Not only do they provide catering, but they also provide restaurant consulting, pop-up events, and more. Chantel can create and customize menus based on your event. Check out her website for sample menus.

Colombian Delights Bakery

Billy Mendéz & Ana Ramírez | Est. 2018 | Baked Goods

Mother and son duo, Ana and Billy, started their business in 2018 and specialize in making puff pastries with Colombian and other Latin American flavors. All their pastries are made from scratch and delivered at the customers’ desired location. They also create and modify recipes to cater to clients’ needs and events.

Ana and Billy’s business was born out of a love and need to share delicious Colombian flavors with the Seattle community.

Grain Artisan Bakery

Lauren Anderson | Est. 2018 | Baked Goods, Vegan, Gluten-free

Grain Artisan Bakery is a farm-to-bakery that offers some of the best traditionally-baked pastries around, as well as offering decadent gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and paleo options.

Grain owner and pastry chef, Lauren, was born and raised in LaPorte, Indiana, before moving to Seattle. She uses only local, sustainable, organic ingredients in their wholesome form, lending to our strong partnerships with small local farmers and businesses.

La Panadería

Siblings Oscar and Felicitas started La Panadería to make a better life for themselves and their families and provide delicious, all-natural, fresh, and locally-sourced tamales and baked goods in Seattle. Following traditional recipes, Oscar and Felicitas make everything by hand.

Rickie Hecht | Est. 2018 | Espresso & Coffee

Rickie Hecht has been in the specialty coffee world for almost 20 years and has worked in coffee in San Francisco, New York City, and now Seattle.

Rickie has a passion for coffee and entrepreneurship, which fueled her drive to start their business. Today, Rickie owns a teardrop mobile coffee shop and coffee catering company with an outdoor, kitschy camping theme. They run their business as eco-friendly as possible, using only compostable cups and lids, solar panels on their mobile coffee shop, and 5,000 watt battery to power their teardrop trailer.

Puro Dulce Cakes

Monica Trejo | Est. 2014 | Baked Goods

Puro Dulce Cakes is an oven to table cottage kitchen bakery that creates custom cakes and desserts for almost any and every occasion.

Puro Dulce Cakes was founded in a big box store, where Monica worked as a cake decorator for over 16 years. Due to store restrictions, she was unable to accommodate to customers requests and decided to start her own business. All cakes and desserts are custom made in an oven to table technique using local ingredients and always 100% shortening free.
