John joined Ventures in March 2019.
John first heard about Ventures through a former board president and was immediately drawn to Ventures’, mission and goal of empowering individuals with limited resources. John brings to the board extensive experience in advocacy, program management, supply chain and operations.
John is currently the General Manager for Quality Transformation at the Boeing Company; a leading aerospace company. He is responsible for the Quality Operating System across Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Previously, John was the head of Boeing’s Automated Identification organization. His team was responsible for bringing improved safety, quality, and efficiency to Boeing Commercial Airplanes through the automated acquisition and transfer of data. Early in his career, John worked in Boeing Commercial Aviation Services (CAS), where he was the functional leader for Repair and Retrofit Engineering and Airplane Maintenance Engineering in Puget Sound and Southern California.
He is active in the Seattle Chamber of Commerce, Airlines for America, and the Washington Council on International Trade. He also sits on the advisory board at Auburn University RFID Laboratory and ZaiNar Technologies.
John attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Aerospace Engineering and earned his MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. John grew up in Bethesda, Maryland near Washington, D.C. and has lived around the world. In his spare time, John enjoys sailing, hiking, skiing, and playing with his dog Kassie.
