Joined Ventures in January 2022.
Joey coaches food businesses on planning and operations through one on one coaching and workshops tailored to the entrepreneurs’ needs. He will also be facilitating communication with, and preparation for, commissary kitchens and farmers’ markets around Washington within Ventures’ Incubation program.
In the summer of 2021 Joey saw firsthand the impact Ventures has on the life of its entrepreneurs when a close friend became a part of the Ventures family. Seeing them grow throughout that process and be prepared with the tools for the work ahead was incredible. Joey was honored to join the team to help bring that experience to other business owners.
Joey is a Washington native from Spokane. He moved to Seattle in 2009 to attend the University of Washington. The interim years were spent working in food trucks, restaurants, catering companies and other food businesses. His experience stretches from food preparation to business management and strategy. Throughout his time in kitchens he has learned to speak a little bit of Spanish and is excited to learn more!
If Joey could start any business it would a small catering company centered on smoked meats with an Italian flair.
