Linden and Leaf is a small, specialty framing studio founded by Walker Hall. With a deep interest in art and painting techniques, Walker began studying Classical Realism in 2006 at the Aristides Atelier in Seattle. This study lasted four years and was complemented with an apprenticeship in framing with master frame-maker, Eric Leggett, from whom he learned custom milling, carving, gilding, and a variety of wood finishing techniques. From 2010 to early 2017, Walker further developed his craftsmanship as the wood-shop manager for Allison and Ross Fine Art Services. With a dedication to making high-quality, hand-made custom frames that protect and honor fine art, Linden and Leaf was created with a singular motivation: to strike a heightened harmony between a piece of art and its frame. The guidance and encouragement received from Ventures has been invaluable, especially the support from Ryan Calkins who generously gave his time to answer questions, offer insights, and share personal contacts for informational interviews.
