Work with Us
Ventures is a Seattle-based nonprofit that empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with limited resources and unlimited potential. We provide access to business training, capital, coaching, and hands-on learning opportunities for entrepreneurs. We serve those in our community for whom traditional business development services are out of reach, with a focus on women, people of color, immigrants, and individuals with low income. Our ultimate goal is to support individuals to increase their income potential, achieve long-term financial stability, provide for their families, and enrich their communities through small business ownership.
Ventures strives to provide impactful programs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. Our core values are diversity, integrity, community, empowerment, innovation, and client success. Our team typically consists of 10-20 employees, plus a corps of contractors and volunteers, as well as an engaged Board of Directors.
We encourage applicants interested in our mission and core values to apply.
Annual Survey Research Internship
Each summer we measure the long-term impact of our work. By understanding the challenges many of our entrepreneurs face in business ownership, we can better support their success. The research intern will provide key, hands-on support for our annual survey. The research includes collecting demographic and satisfaction data, updates on business status, and conducting interviews, in-person and on the phone.
The Development Coordinator maintains day-to-day operations of development activities, engages volunteers in a positive altruistic experience, and supports Ventures’ fundraising goals.
Digital Marketing Internship
The Marketing Intern will play a key role in evaluating Ventures’ social media, online user experience, and audience persona development. This internship provides opportunities to learn about and participate in nonprofit and business-to-business marketing and communications.
Program and Administrative Coordinator
The Program and Administrative Coordinator is responsible for front desk reception, detailed administrative support, and the coordination of data collection. They will also oversee logistics for all of Ventures’ business training programs. This position requires regularly working evenings to support classes and programs, the majority of which are around the Seattle area.
