New Board Leadership

Over the past year, Ventures (formerly known as Washington CASH) has undergone some major and exciting changes! To continue on this journey, we’re announcing new Board leadership at Ventures.

Juan Lopez, our former Executive Committee Member and Vice President, is our new Board President! Juan, has served on our Board for over four years and was instrumental in our re-branding efforts.  Juan brought together a team of engaged and passionate board members, volunteers, and community allies to help us achieve the major project of re-branding.  In addition to serving in a leadership capacity, Juan has also assisted our clients by sharing his expertise in marketing with clients in our food incubator packaged foods class.

Juan has lead the Board through a seamless transition and has been working closely with the former board president, Jeremy Jensen on the transition to new board leadership.

Additionally, it is with great pleasure that we announce our newly elected Board Vice President, Katheryn Frierson, who has also been serving our Board and Finance Committee for over two years. Katheryn’s passion for Ventures and work history make her the right candidate for her new role.

After our successful re-branding effort last year, Ventures is in a great place with a very bright future ahead! Our staff is, more than ever, inspired to serve our community, generate more jobs and help launch sustainable businesses. We all have complete faith that Juan and the Board will succeed in helping our clients attain their goals and create a positive ripple effect in the communities we serve.

Your partnership and support of Ventures is very valuable to us, and we are looking forward to continuing working together to create a stronger organization committed to our mission of empowering aspiring entrepreneurs with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership.

Thank you for your support!
