Rent our commercial kitchen
Ventures leases space at a commercial kitchen in Seattle’s Central District. We then sub-rent the commercial kitchen to our entrepreneurs at an affordable, sub-market rate. This space can be used by people who do packaged food products, catering, or mobile food.
The kitchen comes fully equipped and includes limited shared storage space. Flexible scheduling is available, making this a great option for small businesses that are just starting out.
Ventures’ Commercial Kitchen space is:
- Available 7 days per week from 6 am – 10 am, and 6 pm – 10 pm
- $12 per hour
- Located in the Central District

- Meet King County Department of Public Health requirements
Participation Requirements
- Attended an Orientation (Haven’t done it yet? Learn how to get started)
- Graduated from the Business Basics Course
- Met with a Ventures Business Coach and enrolled in Specialized Services
- Ready to make sales
You have:
- A Washington State business license (Get one for~$20)
- A City of Seattle business license (Get one for ~$110 per year)
- A valid Washington State Food Worker card (Get one for ~$10)
- A King County Food Business Permit (Get one here)
- A WSDA Food Processor license (Get one – Product Food Businesses only)
- Business Liability Insurance with Ventures listed as additional insured for a minimum limit of $1 million
Cost
- Orientation: Free
- Kitchen rental: $12 per hour
