With the backdrop of a gorgeous late summer sunset and the Seattle skyline, Ventures staff, board, client-entrepreneurs, and community supporters cruised around the Puget Sound last week at Ventures’ fourth Dine for Change event aboard an Argosy cruise ship.

Our hosts –board members, Juan LopezDavid Goldberg, and Ronny Mendieta—invited guests to listen to stories of dedication, hard work, and success from Ventures micro-entrepreneurs: Lily’s Salvadoran CateringDoolie’s SalsaLa PanaderiaDo Communications, and Spirit of the Winds

The themes of empathyempowerment, and tools guided the evening as community members connected with Ventures clients to learn about their journeys as small business owners. Many Ventures entrepreneurs come to orientations in need of moral support: our training, coaching, and extended support services help inspire the confidence that micro-entrepreneurs need to pursue their dreams. Donations at Dine for Change helped make it possible for Ventures to continue providing vital small business courses, loans, coaching, and more this year.

We were honored to receive support throughout the evening from many local business owners and change-makers who contributed $8,500 to support micro-entrepreneurship through Ventures’ programming!

Special thanks to Prelude-a-Bliss for sponsoring the event with a donation of event coordination services. We were so proud to come together to “build businesses and change lives.”

Did you miss the event? You can still support our work: donate here today!
