We Refreshed Our Retail Incubator

April 10, 2017

We are excited to announce the completion of a major remodel to our retail store at Pike Place Market.

The Ventures’ retail incubator gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to display and sell their products; receive coaching from retail experts on pricing, display, packaging, and production; and generate revenue through sales of their products.

We are so grateful for the talented volunteers, staff, and Ventures’ client Francisco Esquivel of Tapa’s Remodeling & Repair, LLC, who pitched in to build, paint, light, and completely transform the store. What you’ll see is a much brighter and open space, with unobstructed windows, well-lit displays, and better layout.

We are so proud to be able to show off our vendors’ creations in our refreshed retail store.  We are already seeing an increase in foot traffic and dollars, which contributes to our vendors’ success and our ability to better serve them.

In 2016, we had over 100 client vendors at the store. Through the incubator, clients collectively took home $119,623 in sales. We can’t wait to see how the remodel will impact client revenue from sales this year. Our ultimate goal: empower clients to increase their incomes and achieve long-term financial stability. You can help us achieve this in 2017. Pitch in to equip local entrepreneurs with the tools they need to move out of poverty. Donate today.

Believe it or not, more than one customer came into the store and thought they had entered a new store. They even asked us if we were the same business!

The photos can’t do it justice, so pop by the remodeled store to see it for yourself.
