Our Time at the 2017 Seattle Gift Show

Seattle Gift Show Capuli ClubVentures recently participated in its third Seattle Gift Show at the Washington State Convention Center! The show is known for the unique designs local artisans and craftspeople produce and regional resources it provides to buyers and business owners. Having a booth at the show provides a great opportunity to our entrepreneurs to learn to navigate the wholesale system and expand their businesses.

It was great to see other vendors from the Ventures family that participated with us in 2016 spread their wings and exhibit on their own in 2017. We saw Beth Shea of Echo Artworks, Ann Haines of Beadware, Francine Moo-Young of Moo-Young and Jeni Falldine of Parallel Jewelry at their own booths around the showroom.

This year we were proud to host six Ventures entrepreneurs selling at our booth:

Our entrepreneurs met buyers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Canada, Texas, Hawaii, and California who came to the show for new lines for their stores. Attendees travel from across the country to seek out the unique vendors exhibiting at the show making it must for local vendors.

Being an artisan means a lot of different things. It can mean spending hours in the studio designing and creating unique pieces of jewelry alone. Or, trying to concoct that perfect scent or flavor with just the right twist takes resulting from hours of trial and error. Or, patiently taking numerous photos to find the one with the prefect lighting, subject matter, and composition. But they’re not alone or unappreciated in their solitary work, and the gift show helps demonstrates that.

The Seattle Gift Show was a winning combination for vendor and store buyer alike. We are looking forward to returning in January 2018!
